What is the Atamē snap?

A training tool designed to teach your horse to stand tied — calmly, without stress, without harsh restraint. For everyday use and those trickier moments: vet visits, farrier appointments, competitions, trail rides.

It retrains horses that pull back. It teaches foals from the very start. And it lets you tie your horse anywhere, with complete peace of mind.

What’s in the box

How it works

The Atamē snap works on one simple principle: progressive resistance, not hard restraint.

When your horse pulls, the snap applies a steady, gentle pressure — uncomfortable enough to encourage him to step forward and yield, but never enough to cause panic or trigger a flight response. Exactly the way you’d do it by hand when teaching a horse to give to pressure.

And if your horse really leans into it? The lead rope slides free in seconds, keeping both of you safe.

    Ne répond pas complétement à mon attente.
    Mon cheval ne tire pas au renard mais il est instable à l’attache dans le sens où il faut qu’il regarde partout, il casse donc assez régulièrement la ficelle de sécurité avec ses mouvements de tête, je voulais donc palier à ça.
    Mais la longe glisse dans le mousqueton et il fini par se retrouver en liberté.
    Après contact du SAV (excellent au demeurant), j’ai compris l’utilisation et le but de cet anneau, ce qui ne correspond pas à ma recherche immédiate.
    Sinon, de bonne manufacture.

      Nous vous remercions pour votre commentaire.
      Au début de l’apprentissage, si le cheval tire, il faut tenir la longe et résister (sans bloquer) pour que le cheval sente une tension inconfortable. A ce moment là, attendez et laissez-le réfléchir et trouver la bonne solution, qui sera celle d’avancer. Vous relâchez immédiatement la longe et le cheval comprend que c’était l’action souhaitée.
      Il faut répéter ce processus et le cheval tirera de moins en moins fort, jusqu’à ne plus tirer du tout.
      Le but est qu’une fois l’immobilité acquise, si le cheval exerce une très légère traction sur la longe passée dans le mousqueton, la légère résistance apportée par le mousqueton suffise pour lui indiquer de céder vers l’avant.
      Tous les chevaux, du poulain au cheval qui tirait au renard, comprennent la notion de cession vers l’avant et d’immobilité dans le calme grâce au mousqueton Atame :=)
