Communication stick Brockamp.

The communication stick, (also called “carrot stick”) is one of the essential tools for ground work.

It is avilable in 2 sizes:

  • 1m20: the usual size
  • 1m: ideal for kids or small/light adults
It is used to mobilise the horse and/or desensitize it.
A real extension of the arm, it sometimes allows the horse to move certain parts of his body, sometimes to show him the way to follow and sometimes to caress him.
Its weight and length make it a real precision tool: shorter and more rigid than a traditional whip, it allows various uses:
  • Put the stick forward to ask the horse not to fo faster than you. The stick won’t bend.
  • The weight of the stick eases the way you indicate the different phases. Hold it slowly, direct it with precision and pull it quickly.

Specificities:

  • Stick in fiber glass
  • Non-slip rubber handle that allows a good grip
  • Leather tip on which to tie a string or flag

Differences with the Pop stick

  • The handle is made of rubber ( the pop stick it is made of plastic)
  • The tip of the stick is made of leather (it is made of plastic on the pop stick)
