The secure attachment carabiner for your horse

What is the Atamē carabiner?

An educational tool designed to teach your horse to stand tied calmly, without stress or resistance.

It can be used every day as well as in more challenging situations: grooming, veterinary care, farrier work, competitions and trail rides.

It helps retrain horses that pull back when tied and educate foals from the start.

What’s in the box

Every order includes 2 pieces:

  • 1 figure-eight Atamē carabiner (available in 5 colors)
  • 1 stainless steel snap hook

Use

  • Everyday tying with a 3.70 m or 7 m lead rope
  • Teaching the horse to yield to pressure
  • Retraining horses that pull back
  • Tying during vet care and farrier visits

How it works

The Atamē snap works on one simple principle: progressive resistance, not hard restraint.

When your horse pulls, the snap applies a steady, gentle pressure; uncomfortable enough to encourage him to step forward and yield, but never enough to cause panic or trigger a flight response. Exactly the way you’d do it by hand when teaching a horse to give to pressure.

And if your horse really leans into it? The lead rope slides free in seconds, keeping both of you safe.

Safety – please read before use

  • Never leave a horse tied and unattended.
  • The Atamē snap is not designed for use in a trailer or horse truck.

Atamē carabiners are educational, safe and designed to last.
